Roberta Perrone

March 2, 1937-July 1, 2025

Vernon

Roberta “Bobbie” Ann (Wood) Perrone, 88, of Vernon, loving daughter, sister, friend, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

Born on March 2, 1937, in Minot, she was one of six children to the late John and Ruth (Reinke) Wood.

Bobbie grew up in Minot and was a graduate of Minot High School, home of the Magicians. She enjoyed roller skating and ice skating and watching hockey at the local rink. Following high school, she met airman Vito Joseph Perrone, married him, and moved to Hartford before settling in Manchester where she raised her children with love and selflessness.

She was embraced by the extended Perrone family, learned to make sauce and meatballs from her in-laws and “enjoyed” lasagna at Christmas. Over the course of her life she worked in restaurants, like Willie’s in East Hartford, to make ends meet, but she earned a job as an executive assistant for a property manager who treated her like gold.

She watched her children grow, learn, and succeed, and she will be sorely missed by all who love her!

Bobbie is survived by her son, Vito Perrone and his wife Natasha of Westhampton, MA; her daughter, Ann Marie Perrone of Ellington; her four grandchildren, Alec Perrone and his girlfriend Melissa Walker and their daughter, Theia, of Westhampton, MA, Tyler Perrone of Berlin, Germany, Maya Perrone of Boston, MA, and Audrey Perrone of Westhampton, MA; her brother, Jerel Wood and his wife Karen of CO; her sister-in-law, Arlette Wood of ND; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Debra Perrone; her sister, Virginia O’Brien and her husband Vern; and her brothers, Jim, John, and Jeffrey Wood.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 4:-5:30 p.m. with a memorial service to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd. (Rte 83) in Vernon.

At the request of her family, burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, c/o St. Joseph’s Residence, 1365 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082.
