Kyle Baier

Aug 17, 1989-June 26, 2025

Minot

Kyle Baier, 35, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Trinity Hospital.

Kyle James Baier was born August 17, 1989, at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D. the son of Timothy and Brenda (Johnson) Baier.

He was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 2007.

Following high school, Kyle began an apprenticeship at Mowbray and Sons Plumbing and Heating. He completed three years there before transitioning to Cameron Oil and Gas in 2012. In 2020, he began working at EOG Resources, where he remained until his passing.

Kyle met the love of his life, Kaitie Fluhrer, in 2023. It didn’t take long for Kyle to fall in love with Kaitie and her children. Together, they made their home in Burlington. He naturally became a better man, a devoted partner, and the father figure he always wanted to be and was lovingly referred to as “cheeto man”.

Kyle enjoyed the many weekends spent attending the kids’ games and activities. His beloved dog Nova was such a hit with the children that the family decided to add another dog, Kymber.

Kyle was often found watching Fighting Sioux games, whether on TV or at the Ralph Engelstad Arena. He also had a strong passion for the Edmonton Oilers.

He loved spending time outdoors, especially on annual deer hunting trips to the Badlands with his dad and brothers, and on countless fishing outings with close friends and family. During those trips, he coined his personal slogan–RIPNLPZ–as a motto for life.

Kyle spent countless hours working in his yard, tending to his garden and building things for the kids. With every project Kyle worked on, he was accompanied by “the littles”. They took an interest in helping with anything, if it meant they could be close to him.

To know Kyle was to love him. His friends and family meant the world to him. Any time spent with him was guaranteed to be a good time. He was always ready with a joke, a sarcastic comment, or a well-timed movie quote for any occasion.

His loving family includes: parents, Tim and Brenda; significant other, Kaitie; children, Aleia, Jayce, Oaklei, Jerzey; brothers, Jared (Amanda) Baier, Jamison, Baier; sister, Jessie (Shawn) Kesler; nieces and nephews; Parker, Carter, Caylee, Conner; aunts and uncles, Lori and Rod Baier, Kim and Les Lee; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; James Johnson, Catherine McCreery, Adeline and Oscar Baier; aunt, Patricia Hampton; uncle, Jerry Baier; and his beloved lab, Nova.
