Donald Murphy, 91, of Minot, formerly of Donnybrook passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in Bismarck.

Donald Francis Murphy was born on March 31, 1934, a son of William F. and Leah (Cassidy) Murphy, in Minot, ND. He was raised in the Donnybrook area where he would later farm.

In 1952, Donald married the love of his life, Bonnie Johnson. Their 70 years together were filled with faith, hard work, trips to a variety of destinations,

He was a longtime member of St. Anthony’s church in Donnybrook and later, Our Lady of Grace in Minot.

Donald is survived by:

Children Bill, Tom (Kamie Richardson), Karen (Darold) Hansen, Nancy (Troy) Hudson, and Sandy (Greg) Westlake; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.

brother Roger (Kathyrn) Murphy, Brother-in-law Leroy (Lorna) Johnson, Sister-in-laws Laverna Lawson, Donna Schmaltz, Betty Johnson, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie, his parents, brother Marvin, sister Margaret Limke, sister-in-law Shirley Murphy, brother-in-laws Larry Limke, Freddie Johnson, Kenneth Ofsthun, Fritz Wilhelm, Ben Schmalz, Casey Lawson; great grandson Foster Ankenbauer.

Visitation: Friday, July 25, 2025, from 3 until 5 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, with a vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. in the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot

Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot
