Deanna J. Werner, 85, Minot, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 in a Minot assisted living center.

Deanna J. Lagge was born on February 12, 1940, a daughter of Edwin and Tessie (Kovarik) Lagge in Garrison, ND. She was raised and educated in Garrison where she graduated from Garrison High School in 1958. Deanna furthered her education by attending the Minot Business College.

On December 27, 1961, Deanna was united in marriage to Edward E. Werner in Minot. The family made their home in Minot, where Deanna was a homemaker, raising the couples four children.

Edward passed away on April 5, 2024.

Deanna enjoyed traveling with Edward to Las Vegas, playing Bingo, fishing, camping, and attending the grandchildren’s activities.

Deanna is survived by:

children: Jolene Montgomery, Terryl (Don) Pfeifer, Greg (Amy) Werner; grandchildren; Kaylee Werner, Ava Werner, Tristin Kirk, Noah Kirk, Josh Pfeifer, Jared Pfeifer, Stephanie (Casey) Silverthorn, Micheal Montgomery, Wendy (Tyler) Wilkening: great-grandchildren: Lauren Silverthorn, Alyx Silverthorn, Welsey Sims, Braxton Wilkening and Kinslie Wilkening;

siblings: Gloria Huston, Wade (Lori) Lagge, Karen (Wayne) Aga; sister-in-law: JoAnne Lagge;

several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 62 years Edward, son Brent, grandson Michael, siblings Gary (Doris) Lagge, Ronald Lagge, brother-in-law Jim Huston, nephew Darin Huston, great-nephew Shane Wise and a great-niece Rebecca Huston.

Visitation: Monday, July 28, 2025 one hour prior to the service at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot
