When the family moved back to ND, she attended Kenmare Public School, graduating in 1951. She then attended Minot State Teachers College and earned her teaching degree. She taught at Stafford Township County Schools.
She met the love of her life, Roger, at the Kenmare Roller Rink. They were married on May 4, 1952. They lived at Ft. Riley, KS for a year, and she then lived with her parents & in-laws while Rod was in the Service.
After his discharge they lived in Minot for 1 year before moving to Family Homestead in 1955. They were blessed with 3 children: Susan, Steven & Rhonda.

You never went hungry at the farm, she made the best brownies, chocolate chip cookies, Scott’s heavenly cake, frosting and especially her sugar cookies, where great-grandchildren would ask her to make cookies for them and their school parties. Harvest meals in the field were a gourmet experience, with table clothes, napkins, and centerpieces. She could take a teaspoon of drippings and make 3 cups of the best gravy.
She loves to travel, either by car or plane with family. Going to Branson TN, Loveland CO, San Diego CA, Hawaii and other destinations.
Annie loved to bowl and was a member of the Ladies Afternoon Tuesday Bowling League for many years. She was a great Rook player and enjoyed the community card parties and playing with family.
She was an avid sports fan and followed her teams, The Kenmare Honkers, MN Twins, MN Vikings, MN Timberwolves.
