Lois Sheehan

Lois M Sheehan, 87, Bismarck and formerly of Mandan and Minot, died peacefully on June 1, 2025, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck.

Lois was born July 11, 1937, in Sioux City Iowa to E.C. and Alice Guy.

She grew up in Billings, Montana where she met and married Gerald “Jerry” Sheehan on August 15, 1964.

They lived in Oregon and Montana before making Minot their home for more than 25 years.

While in Minot they raised their two daughters.

Wanting to be closer to family they moved to Mandan in 2005. They enjoyed 46 years together until Jerry’s death in 2010.

Lois loved spending time with children and grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to the casino, reading, puzzles, and watching tv, especially old westerns and Fox News.

She is survived by two daughters: Teresa (Joseph) Schweitzer of West Fargo and Tania (John) Schell of Bismarck; four grandchildren: Allison (Tyler) Wentz of West Fargo, Jacob Schweitzer of Minneapolis, Lucas Schell, and Josie Schell of Bismarck.

A private family service will take place at the ND Veterans Cemetery.
