William C. “Bill” Kraft, 60, Granville, ND, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at his home.

William Charles “Bill” Kraft was born on Aug. 10, 1964, the 13th of 15 children to Joseph A. and Mary (Flammang) Kraft in Minot, ND. Bill was raised on the Kraft family farm near Granville, ND, where he assisted with the operations of the farm. He graduated from Granville High School in 1982.

Bill began farming while still in high school at Wayne Shipman farm. In 1994, he was able to take over the Shipman operation and began farming on his own.

His nephew, Derrick joined Kraft Farms in 1996, and in 2005 was able to become a partner. Together Bill and Derrick ran a very successful operation. Bill was preparing for spring planting at the time of his passing.

Bill was a kind and caring dad, grandpa, brother, cousin, and uncle. May he feel the love of the kind words and special gestures that have been shared with his family this past week. The family expresses gratitude for the support received during this time. May you rest in eternal peace, Bill. You will be missed immensely.

He is survived by: Daughter Britney (Tanner) Vix and grandchildren Ames Warner, Ashlyn, Hayden, and Lakyn Vix. Siblings: Ken (Gloria) Kraft, Mary Beth Kraft, Tim Kraft, Judith (Tim) Bingen, Bob Kraft, Berni Kraft, Teresa (Darrel) Loftesnes, Pat Kraft, Mike Kraft, Kathleen (Ray) Lilliquist, Linda (Joe) Hudson. He is also survived by 26 nieces and nephews, and 44 great nieces and nephews, most especially Lucas, Adam, Henry and Charlie Kraft, and Ben Schestler.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary (Flammang) Kraft, brother Steven, sister Virginia (Fred) Hansen, brother-in-law Fred Hansen, an infant sister Mary Jo, nephew Kelby Kraft, and infant nieces Nicole Hansen and Isabella Newman.

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, May 3, 2025, 10 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Friday, May 2, 2025 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
