Ruth Martha Groninger, 95, of Nashville, GA died Sunday May 18, 2025, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 14, 1929, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Erik Ramstack and the late Lillian Giese Ramstack. She was the business manager for the Des Lacs Burlington school district for 27 years and served as the treasurer for the Des Lacs First United Methodist Church for 25 years.

She was a member of the Des Lacs First United Methodist Church in Des Lacs, N.D., member of United Methodist Women for 70 years and a longtime member of the Roeling Green Homemakers.

She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, loved to read, work puzzles and was a seamstress.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Donald, Eugene and Harold Ramstack and 2 sisters: Laverne Teske and Dorothy Jeranek.

She is survived by her daughter: Sue (Joe) Barkman of Nashville, GA; 2 sons: Rev. Ronald (Karen) Groninger of Almont, ND and Jerald Groninger of Plain City, UT; 6 grandchildren: Andrew (Yulia) Groninger, Nathan (Laura) Groninger, Luke (Cherie) Groninger, Elizabeth (Brad) Rutland, Angela (Pablo) Braswell and Kristen Groninger; 11 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Nancy Groninger of California; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Groninger and Rev. Mark Addington officiating.

Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Dec Lacs First United Methodist Church Building Fund (33 3rd Ave SE, Des Lacs, ND 58733).
