Myron Brodehl, 80, Minot, ND, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in his home.

Myron LaVern Brodehl was born August 24, 1944, the son of Julius and Lucille (Nickel) Brodehl, in Rugby. He was baptized at Bloomfield Lutheran Church. He was raised on the family farm south of Upham and educated at Layton Township Country School from first to eighth grade. He graduated from Upham High School.

Following graduation, he was drafted in the United States Army on January 13, 1966. He proudly served his country for two years and he was honorably discharged in 1968.

He married Carrie Nerem in 1968. They made their home in Granville and were blessed with three children, Brian, Charlene, and Karlene. They later divorced.

Myron worked at Harrington Ranch and then Fargo Glass. He was part owner of Northern Glass Incorporated. He worked at Bechtold Paving and then in Civil Service on Minot Air Force Base where he retired in 2018.

He married Phyllis Hanson in 1994. They made their home in Minot. Together they enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed his Saturday morning get togethers at the Truckstop.

His loving family includes: wife, Phyllis; children, Brian (Dena Erickson) Brodehl, Charlene (Larry) Goettle, Karlene (Ian) Wyman; Phyllis’ children, Brenda (Jay) Aberle, Illand Mariner; grandchildren, Brandon (Kylee) Brodehl, Mayce Brodehl, Tyler Goettle, Morgan (Cole) Feland, Levi (Kristine) Goettle, Lexi (Rylin) Sortland, Tate Wyman, Ally Wyman; Phyllis’ grandchildren, Josh Aberle, April Aberle, Cierra Mariner; numerous great-grandchildren, sister, Sandra Christianson; brother, Larry Brodehl; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Donald; brothers, Dallas and Ronald; brother-in-law, Leslie Christianson; sister-in-law, Sally Brodehl; nephew, Keith Christianson.

Funeral: Monday, May 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.

Interment: Bloomfield Lutheran Cemetery, Upham, ND.

Visitation: Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church, Minot or Bloomfield Lutheran Cemetery, Upham.
