Leo Jundt, 93, Minot, ND, died Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.

Leo Frank Jundt was born August 21, 1931, the son of Christ and Pauline (Busch) Jundt, in McHenry County, North Dakota. He was educated at a country school in McHenry County.

Leo began working on surrounding farms, which is how he met Gloria Stromme. He married Gloria on May 31, 1954, in Fulda, ND. They made their home in Minot, and they were blessed with seven children, Terry, Peggy, Jacqueline, Jeff, Todd, Pamela, and Mark.

They moved to Minot in 1955 where Leo worked at Sweetheart Bakery. Leo was employed at Westland Oil Station downtown until he was transferred to the new location on South Broadway where he became the manager and then later bought the station. In 1999, he began working at Harley’s where he worked until he retired at the age of 83.

Leo had a strong faith and he was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Eagle’s Club.

He was a talented musician who could play music by ear. He could play the accordion, guitar, and piano. Leo also enjoyed watching golf, it relaxed him. He and Gloria liked to spend their time putting puzzles together. He had a coin collection he liked to put in order. One of his favorite things to do was going to Denny’s for breakfast on Saturday morning.

Leo was devoted to his wife, Gloria. He spent his whole life loving and caring for her, especially in the last few years. He will be greatly missed.

His loving family includes: wife of almost 71 years, Gloria; children, Terry (Nancy) Jundt, Peggy Yates, Jacky Adam, Jeff (Debbie) Jundt, Todd (Leslie) Jundt, Pamela (Richard) Wulf; grandchildren, Tara (Nickole) Garcia, Tonia (John) Bazan, Brenda (Chris) Aberle, Becky (TJ) LaVallie, Cassandra (Paul) Uskevicz, Eric (Amber Moen) Jundt, Samantha (Travis) Bragg, Brittney (Boyd Zavalney) Keys, Justin (Jennifer Neigum Stanley) Jundt, Josh Jundt, Amber Jundt, Taylor (Karsen) Rafferty, Delaney Jundt; 42 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Al (Ann) Jundt, Alice Schneider, Sylvia Hanneson, George (Marge) Jundt, Virgil (Sandy) Jundt, Carol (Larry) Thompson, Gary (Carlean) Jundt, Anna Barbara (Earl) Babb, Roger (Deb) Jundt; brother-in-law, Dennis Haga; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Jundt; sisters, infant Bernice Jundt, Delores Satern, and Margie Haga.

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Vigil Prayer Service: Monday at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: are preferred to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
