Dorothy E. Helseth, 83, Minot, died Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at a Minot hospital.

Dorothy Ellen Helseth was born on Feb. 9, 1942 to Andrew and Mildred (Silver) Warner. She was raised and educated in Washington, Missouri.

Dorothy moved to New Town, N.D. in early adulthood. She met Raymond Sr. at the restaurant where she worked with her mom, Mildred.

They were united in marriage on Nov. 13, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot. They made their home in Keene, N.D. until 1962 when they moved to Minot. Raymond Sr. passed away Oct.27, 2017.

Dorothy was a devoted mother and homemaker, known for her straightforwardness and feisty personality. She found joy in cooking, old country music, and engaging in dice and card games. Dorothy was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Minot along with the Moose Lodge and Eagles Club.

Her loving family includes Ray (Diane) Helseth of Burlington, N.D.; Rodney Helseth of S.D.; Sue (Mike) Ell of Underwood, N.D.; Darrell (Amber) Helseth of Tioga, N.D.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Raymond Sr.; Son: Russell; sister: Wanda; brothers: Delmar and Bud.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 10 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
