Marvis Schlemmer

St. Louis Park, Minn.

Marvis P Schlemmer age 82 of St. Louis Park MN passed away December 19, 2024. She was born in International Falls, MN on August 18,1942, grew up near Loman MN. After graduating from Indus high school, she moved to Minneapolis MN where she met the love of her life Peter Schlemmer. They were married in 1964 and cherished 25 years together living in International Falls and moving to Minot ND in 1986.

She moved to Minneapolis MN in 1996 where she worked as a CNA then retired to Alma WI for several years. She moved back to the Minneapolis area to be closer to family. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends visiting, playing cards, and watching the MN Vikings and MN Wild.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Ruth Karnofsky, two brothers, six sisters, and husband Peter Schlemmer.

She is survived by her son Kris Schlemmer, daughters Dana Schlemmer, Tara Kempf and her husband Adam Kempf, grandchildren Peter Schlemmer and Autumn Schlemmer, and great grandchild Beatrice Schultz along with many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

A brief interment service will be held Friday December 27th at 1:30 pm at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

A celebration of life is being planned for spring 2025.
