Darlene Schnellbach, 87, Velva, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Souris Valley Care Center in Velva with her loving family at her side.

Darlene Joyce Kriedeman was born on May 20, 1937, a daughter of Arthur E. and Margaret (Schiele) Kriedeman in Drake, ND. She was raised in Guthrie, ND, and attended rural schools.

On August 14, 1955, Darlene was united in marriage to Walter Schnellbach in Drake, ND. They made their home in Minot, and several other towns where together they raised their family. In addition, Darlene worked at a bakery and a thrift store. Walter sadly passed away April 10, 2021.

Darlene enjoyed baking, playing pinochle and whist, making fleece blankets, crocheting, crafts and going to rummage sales and thrift stores.

Darlene was a member of the Southside Nazarene church.

Those Who Shared In Her Life: children: Connie (Jeff) Behrens, Bonnie Wiest, Susan (Donny) Job, Joleen (John) Koth, Patricia (David) Pollert, Anna Kuntz, Kathy (Lonnie) Grabowska, James (Kim) Schnellbach, Charles Schnellbach, Thomas (Jeanne) Schnellbach; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law: Agnes Schnellbach, Albert Schnellbach, George (Shirley) Schnellbach, Helen Kriedeman as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter, brother Fred, sister Marion (Pete) Miller, son in law Paul Kuntz, grandson Shawn Grabowska and a great grandson, Leo Martin.

Visitation: Saturday, October 19, from 10 a.m., until service time at the Southside Church of Nazarene, Minot. Funeral Service: Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Southside Church of the Nazarene, Minot.
