Arthur Strietzel, 73, Minot, died Saturday, October 5, 2024, in a Minot hospital.

Arthur Lynn Strietzel was born on January 4, 1951, a son of Clinton and Wanda (Beachler) Strietzel in Rolla, ND. He was raised along with his seven siblings in the St. John area, graduating from St. John High School in 1969. He furthered his education by attending Bismarck State Jr College.

On November 22, 1974, Arthur was united in marriage to Dorothy Eurich, in Dunseith, ND. They made their home in St. John, ND, Bismarck and then Williston, ND, where the family lived for 18 years. While in Williston, Arthur worked in the Oil Field for a time before starting a career with Praxair. He would transfer to Minot with Praxair, retiring in 2019, following 30 plus years of dedicated service.

Arthur was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, working in his yard and garden, hunting deer and pheasant and fishing.

He is survived by: Wife of 50 years, Dorothy; children: Clinton (Jennifer) Strietzel and their children Morgan and Colin; Wendy Strietzel and her son Chase Meduna; two sisters: Marian Morrow and Susan (Jake) Hamon, a brother-in-law Jess Forton; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Jerry, Larry, Gene, Clinton “Butch”, and Dixie.

Visitation: Friday, October 11, 2024, from 10 a.m., until service time at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot. Funeral Service: Friday, October 11, 2024 at 11 a.m., at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Minot. Graveside Service: Friday, at 1:15 p.m., at Prairie Peace Fellowship Cemetery, Surrey, ND. Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
