David Swensrud, 57, Minot, ND, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, in his mother’s home.

David Paul Swensrud was born December 31, 1966, the son of Lyle and Virginia (Friedenbach) Swensrud, in Minot. He was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School. He would continue to pursue his education by attending Minot State College, where he earned a degree in Computer Science.

He worked for The Computer Store for 30 years. David was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

David enjoyed reading and computers. He loved spending time with family and attending family reunions. David looked forward to going to concerts at the North Dakota State Fair.

His loving family includes: mother, Virginia, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle; grandmother, Anna Swensrud; and grandparents, Clement and Freda Friedenbach.

Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Inurnment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND. Visitation: Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Vigil Prayer Service: Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Memorials: are preferred to Trinity Hospice in Minot.
