Theron F. Triplett, 70, Minot, formerly of Tolley, ND and Velva, ND, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 in his home.

Theron was born on February 3, 1954, a son of Voyle and Bertha (Buchholtz) Triplett in Kenmare, ND. He attended Tolley Public School, graduating in 1972. Theron furthered his education by attending the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND, graduating in 1974 with an associate’s degree in computer science.

Theron returned to Minot, where he was united in marriage to Vicki Grindheim. They made their home in Velva, where they raised their twin daughters Samantha and Bobbi. The couple later divorced. In 1976, Theron established his successful Triplett Insurance Company, where he sold various lines of insurance over the years.

In 2003, Theron was united in marriage to Carol Spear. They made their home in Minot, where together they worked alongside one another selling insurance until Theron’s retirement in 2022.

His retirement years were filled with card games at Harley’s Amoco, doing yard work and an occasional round of golf. Theron was a loving son, brother, husband, dad, step-dad, step-grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed.

Theron is survived by: Wife Carol; daughters: Samantha (Duane Sauvageau) Triplett, Bobbi (Jamie) Rieger; Step-mom: Frances Triplett; Siblings: Laurie (Vicky) Triplett, Renee (Phil) Steinberger; Step-siblings: Alan (Donna) Hedberg, Steven Hedberg, Cathy Hedberg; Step-children: Dawn (Gil) Schnase, David (Stacy Dvorak) Spear, DeAnna (Chris Housh) Frantsen; Step-grandchildren: Danielle (Jason) Rowell, Micayla (Bryce) Florence, Jacob Schnase, Rylee Frantsen, Terry Spear and Taryn Frantsen; Step-great grandchild: Piper Rowell

Theron was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Elwood Triplett, and a step son-in-law Ray Frantsen.

A Private Graveside Service will be held prior to the Celebration of Life.

Celebration of Life will be on August 3, 2024 at the Moose Lodge in Minot from 2pm-5pm.
