Mary Eleanor Miller, 99, Minot, ND formerly Dickinson, ND passed away Monday, July 22, 2024.

Mary Eleanor Martin was born on April 16, 1925, at home on the family farm near Lefor, North Dakota. She was the sixth of the ten children born to Bernhardt and Katherine (Zillich) Martin.

On July 7, 1947, she was united in marriage to Joseph Miller at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Gladstone. They raised their five children in Dickinson. In 1967, the family moved to Minot. Mary worked as a cook at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dickinson and Minot before retiring in 1986.

Mary was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Minot and while living in Dickinson, she was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Mary is survived by her children, Carlotta Miller (Chris Madsen), Kenosha, WI; Keith Miller, Fargo; Deborah (Roland) Elker, Minot; Valerie (Terry) Czosnek, Bismarck; and Chad Miller, Minot; grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Miller and Nicole (Michael) Sundhagen; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Hailey Miller, Ashton and Brooklyn Sundhagen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Miller; son, Dale; parents, brothers and sister, and daughter-in-law, Monica Miller.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, August 3, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. until time of the service in church gathering space. Private family burial services will be held at a later date.
