Kenmare

Gordon Feldman, 61, rural Kenmare, ND, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024 at his residence.

Gordon “Gordy” Neal Feldman was born on July 17, 1962, one of six children born to Robert and Marlene (O’Clair) Feldman in Kenmare, ND. He was baptized and confirmed in the Nazareth Lutheran Church, and attended school in Kenmare, graduating in 1980.

Gordy worked most of his life on the family farm with his dad, mom, brothers, and sisters. He loved teaching and working alongside his nephews. He raised cattle, sheep, pigs, and even a horse at one time. He worked for Harris Construction, Rodney Iverson, and one year in Mandan as a welder and most recently for Anderson’s Farm.

Gordon met Arenda Fowler, and her daughter Taylor, 27 years ago and they were blessed with a daughter, Tessa. He always thought of Taylor as his own daughter. Tessa and Taylor were his sunshine, and he spent what spare time he had with his girls in Minot. He lit up when he talked about them.

Gordon was an excellent cook, griller, and meat smoker, and would smoke pigs for the Pioneer Days with his friends. He had a heart of gold and was someone you could always rely on to lend a helping hand. He helped many friends with almost anything, from farming and cattle to mechanical work. He had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed.

He enjoyed car racing, fishing, and hunting. He even got his “once in a lifetime moose.” He loved deer hunting with his dad, brothers, nephews, cousins, and friends. A good time was had by all and the stories they could tell! He really enjoyed teasing everybody he could and when Gordy visited with you it was usually at least good hour of chatting. He was the best brother anyone would love to have. We will miss you Gordy!

He is survived by his significant other, Arenda Fowler, Minot, ND; daughters, Tessa Feldman and Taylor Fowler, both of Minot, ND; mother, Marlene Feldman, Kenmare, ND; siblings, Richard (Merry) Feldman, Kenmare, ND, Vickie (Mike) Limke, Carpio, ND, Kevin Feldman (Connie Howell), Norma, ND, Debbie (Jim) Applegate, Owasso, OK, Phyllis (Don) Hatton, Elberfeld, IN; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Gordy was preceded in death by his father, Robert Feldman; grandparents, Everett and Evelyne Feldman, Earl and Anna O’Clair; and nephew, Sean Applegate.

Visitation: Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 4-6 at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare, ND

Funeral Service: Friday, July 19, 2024, 10:30 a.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare, ND.

Burial: Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare, ND.
