Frank T. Eklund, 44, known affectionately as Tim, passed away July 9, 2024, in Minot, North Dakota.
Frank Timothy Eklund was born on September 2, 1979 in Breckenridge, Minnesota. Tim was raised and educated in the Minot area. He attended school at Nedrose Elementary School then Central Campus and graduated from Minot High School. He furthered his education at Minot State University and North Dakota State University, he earned his degree in Criminal Justice from Minot State University.
He worked for Lutheran Social Services and for Papa John’s Pizza for 14 years.
Tim grew up in a close-knit family and was a beloved figure among his extensive circle of relatives and friends. Tim’s life will be celebrated and remembered for the warmth and laughter he brought into the lives of those around him. His legacy of kindness and generosity will live on through the many lives he touched.
Tim is survived by his devoted parents, Franklin and Julianne Eklund, Minot; sister, Patricia Eklund-Berger; brother in law, Dean Berger; aunts and uncles, Evelyn Eklund, Ronnie (Debbie) Eklund, Kendal (Bonnie) Eklund, Carmen (Georgia) Eklund, Janice (Ken) Hellmuth, Karen (Gearl) Fenster, Rodney (Nancy) Nordby; cousins, Marlyn (Danell) Eklund, Joseph (Kira) Eklund, Tristaen (Brant) Bingham, Michelle Keller, Jeremy (Amy) Eklund, Lori Eklund, Larry (Kelli) Eklund, Chris (Emily) Eklund, Caleb Eklund, Keri (Daryn) Hoover, Lacey (Bryan) Brendel, Kylene (Ryan) Kraft, KayCee (Devin) Lindsey, Tracie (Roger) Emineth, Darren (Becky) Fenster, Peter (Jamie) Nordby, Mark (Cate) Nordby; along with his cousin’s children and their families.
Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Jeanette Nordby, and Franklin and Ethel Eklund; uncle, Dennis Eklund, and cousin, Jonathan Eklund.

Funeral: Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Chapel, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.
Visitation: Tuesday from 12 to 1 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot
