Wanda Mae Mulligan 84 of Makoti, North Dakota passed away January 9, 2024 at Heart to Heart Hospice in Fort Worth, Texas with her family by her side.
Wanda Mae (Underwood) Mulligan was born August 7, 1939, the daughter of Robert and Edna (Davis) Underwood of Cleveland Tennessee. Wanda was raised in Cleveland Tennessee and lived there until her marriage to Darrell Vaughn. They had 4 children together but were later divorced.
On April 12, 1978 Wanda married Charles E. Mulligan in Deering ND. Shortly after their marriage, they left North Dakota and made their home in Marysville, California. The couple moved back to North Dakota to be close to their daughter in Makoti. They then moved to Minot, North Dakota for a few years but recently made their home with their daughter back in Makoti.
Wanda enjoyed travel and the experiences she had being an Air Force wife. She was a wonderful cook and baker and loved sharing her meals with her family and friends. Wanda was an avid gardener, enjoying this hobby with her husband Chuck. They happily helped the community to rejuvenate the plantings in the Makoti Park. In the years since Wanda lost her vision, she was able to get enjoyment listening to her audio books and visiting with her friends and family in Makoti.

Husband Charles Mulligan, Children: Barbara (Tim) Houston, Charlotte (Doug) Smette, Elizabeth Montoya, James (Becky) Vaughn, Robert (Sheila) Mulligan, Jon (Bridget) Mulligan 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary, brother Jimmy, stepson Bryon and her grandson Keith.
A Memorial Service celebrating Wanda’s life will be held at the Makoti Senior Citizens Center on the first day of summer, Thursday June 20, 2024 at 11am.
