Ron E. Hanson Sr., 67, Great Falls, Mont., formerly of Minot, ND, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in a Great Falls Hospice facility.

Ronald Evan Hanson Sr., 67, was born on July 6, 1956, a son of Leonard and Alyce (Atherton) Hanson in Rolette, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot.

On June 19, 1976, Ron was united in marriage to Lori (McLain) Hanson. The couple made their home in Surrey, ND, where together they had 2 children, Ron Hanson Jr and Jami Hanson. The couple later divorced.

On November 1, 2018, Ron was united in marriage to Pimvara Trijirarut. They made their home in Great Falls, MT.

Ron held various positions throughout his lifetime. When he was young man, he was employed by Peterson Excavating and Kemper Construction. He worked for the oil fields when the oil boom of the 80s was discovered in ND. In 1984, Ron started his life-long position in sales. His knowledge of cars and his outgoing personality were a perfect fit. His honesty and love for people gave him many years of success in car sales in Minot and Great Falls.

Ron enjoyed family holiday traditions, entertaining friends and family, traveling, woodworking, mechanics, old classic cars, listening to the oldies, animals, and being the life of the party.

Ron’s love of nature brought him to Great Falls, MT. He always took great pride in his yard.

Ron is survived by: wife of 5 years, Pam: Son, Ron Hanson Jr., Bismarck, daughter, Jami (Mike) Derheim, Minot. Step-daughter Aimmy Trijirarut, Bangkok Thailand. Grandchildren: Taylor, Brooklyn, Berkley, Harper, Beau and Cameron (Kaitie) Hanson. Great-granddaughter Charlie Rae Hanson. Siblings: Lynda Janice, Connie Smith, Jim (Audrey) Hanson, and Jeanne (Larry) Dodd. Half-brothers: Dennis (Lottie) Hanson, Roger Hanson, and Kent Berkley. His dog Bucky and cat Garfield.

Ron was preceded by Father: Leonard, mother: Alyce, Brother: Lee Hanson , Sister: Sallie Hanson: half-brothers Gary and Darvin Hanson. Dogs: Snipper, Snuggles, and Mazy Mae

Visitation: Thursday, June 27, 2025 from 4 until 6pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service: Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10:30 am at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed on the link provided on Ron page at www.thompsonlarson.com

Burial: Friday, June 28, 2024 at 2 pm at Rendahl Cemetery, Dunseith, ND
