Mary “Jo” Hamilton, 90, Minot, ND, formerly of Hesperia, CA, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at The View.

She was born July 5, 1933, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Annen) Caha, in Hemingford, Nebraska. She was raised and educated in Glendale, CA.

She married her high school sweetheart, Donald L. Hamilton, on April 2, 1952. They made their home in Big Bear, California. Donald passed away October 29, 2011.

Mary owned and operated Bear Valley Escrow from 1973 until her retirement in November of 1995. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, traveling, and watching hockey.

Her loving family includes: children, Linda (Dean) Mielke and Brent Hamilton; grandchildren, Allen Mielke, Joseph Mielke, and Grace Hoolihan; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was preceded by her parents; in death husband of 59 years, Donald L. Hamilton; and sisters, Evelyn Frederick, Leona “Maxine” Toohey, and Geraldine Caha.
