James Rodin

Kenmare

James “Jim” Rodin, 86, Kenmare, ND, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Mountrail Bethel Home in Stanley, ND.

Jim was born December 18, 1937, the son of Joseph and Alma (Ekstrom) Rodin in Kenmare, ND.

Jim married Wanda Modin on October 29, 1960, in Niobe, ND. They made their home in Kenmare where they raised their four children. Jim was an avid farmer and cattle rancher.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Kenmare and served on the Kenmare School Board for many years.

Jim enjoyed attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, hunting, trapping, and was an avid NDSU football fan.

His loving family includes:

Wife of 63 years, Wanda; children, Dennis (Kathleen), Bismarck, ND, Penny (Dan) Sticka, Plano, TX, Steven, Kenmare, ND, and DuWayne (Nanette) Rodin, Kenmare, ND; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brother, Merrill (LaDonna) Rodin

and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Vernis (Clifford) Nelson and two great grandchildren

Visitation: Friday, June 28, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. at Thompson Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare

Funeral: Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, Kenmare.

Internment: Lakeview Cemetery, Kenmare
