Gordon Petersen

Gordon Petersen, 83, Marysville, Washington and formerly of Upham passed away November 29, 2023 unexpectedly at Providence Hospital in Everett, Washington with his family by his side. He was born on September 29, 1940 in Rugby, North Dakota to Fredric and Doris (Swearson) Petersen. He graduated from Upham High School in 1959. On November 22, 1963, he was united in marriage to Marlene Werle at the Bloomfield Lutheran Church in Upham. Gordon is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marlene Petersen; two sons, Merlin (Lupita) of Marysville, WA and Jeremy of San Diego, CA; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Natwick, Marcella (Chris) Rowland, Connie Petersen and Beatrice Petersen. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of life service on Saturday, June 22 at the New Hope Lutheran Church in Upham at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at the Bantry Union Cemetery.
