Lyle Sanders, 85, Glenburn, ND, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at his home.

Lyle was born June 21, 1938, the son of Harold and Laura (Carlson) Sanders, in Minot. He attended school in a one room school house and then attended Minot High School, graduating in 1956.

Lyle was drafted into the United States Army in 1962. He proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged in October of 1967.

Lyle married Carol (Loveland) on October 12, 1967. They made their home in Waterford Township. Carol passed away on April 28, 2006.

Lyle married JoAnn Lundeen on December 19, 2011.

He was a on the board for the Glenburn Fire Department, the Township Board, a member of Trinity Lutheran and Christ Lutheran, Good Sam Camping Club, and a member of a woodworking group.

Lyle enjoyed camping, and traveling with JoAnn, gardening, farming, woodworking, playing darts and dressing up for Halloween. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

His loving family includes: Wife of 13 years, JoAnn; sons, Patrick (Annette) Sanders, Center, ND, and Robert (Alesia) Sanders, Glenburn, ND; grandchildren, Michael (Sabrina) Wells, Amanda (James) Schumann, Elizabeth (John) Pistorino, Lyle Ross (Tiffany) Sanders and Jesse (Raye) Sanders; 11 great-grandchildren and one coming soon; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol, brothers Jim, Harold, Jr. and Cliff, sisters Vivian and Beatrice, and great-granddaughter Natalie.

Visitation: Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Family Prayer Service: Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Funeral: Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Glenburn.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Minot, ND.
