Edward “Ed” Turner, 71, Minot, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at a Minot hospital with his wife by his side.

Ed was born on December 14, 1952 in Fargo, ND to Louis and Ethel (Willert) Turner. He was raised and educated in Sawyer, graduating in 1970. Ed was once married to Debbie Ronde. They had two children, Shawn and Amanda.

Ed worked with his dad as a mechanic at Westlie Motors in Minot before getting a job at Fisher Motors where he continued his career as a mechanic. It was there that he met Pamella Jacobson and the two were married on June 15th, 1991. Together, they had two children, McKenzie and Cole. Ed retired in 2011.

In his younger years, Ed loved to hunt and race cars on the track. He was quite fond of Enduro races. Ed enjoyed landscaping and taking care of his lawn. He spent hours making sure it looked just the way he wanted it. He loved to watch NASCAR and his favorite was always Dale Earnhardt, Sr. After he retired, he liked to watch westerns with his dogs, Cookie and Daisy.

Ed is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pamella; sons, Shawn Turner, Fargo, and Cole Turner, Minot; daughters, Amanda (Brook) Moore, Fargo, and McKenzie (Cyle) Golde, Bowbells, ND; grandchildren, Emma and Eli; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donovan; and sister, Marilyn.
