LANSFORD — Linda Raye Dean, 73, Minot, formerly of Lansford, died Friday, March 29, 2024, at a Minot hospital.

She was born Feb. 16, 1951, in Bismarck, to Theodore “Ted” and Ileen (Klein) Bauer. She was raised in Turtle Lake and graduated from Turtle Lake High School. She graduated from Minot State University with a degree in music. She later received her Master’s Degree in Music from Minot State. She taught music education in Turtle Lake, Lansford, Glenburn and at Minot Air Force Base.

Linda was united in marriage to Dennis Dean on Dec. 26, 1981, in Lansford.

Linda was a church organist at churches in Lansford, Minot Air Force Base, St. John Catholic Church, Minot, Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot, and also played for many weddings and funerals. Linda was also a member of the band, “Raisin Cane.”

Family: husband of 42 years, Dennis Dean, Minot; sons, Brendan (Claudia) Dean, Lansford, and Donavan Dean, Gillette, Wyo.; grandchildren, Jackson and Ashlynn Dean; brother, Dennis (Linda) Bauer, Bismarck; nephew, Jason Bauer; and niece, Pam Bosch.

Linda was preceded in death by: her parents, Theodore “Ted” and Ileen Bauer.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at St. John Catholic Church, Lansford. A video of the service will be uploaded after the service.

Burial: St. John Catholic Church Cemetery, Lansford.

Recitation of the Rosary: 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the church.
