Jeffrey Todd Ekren, 63 of Rugby died peacefully under the care of hospice and his family after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at the Heart of America Care Center in Rugby, North Dakota.

Jeff was born on August 15, 1960 to Leland and Betty (Burow) Ekren in Rugby, North Dakota.

Jeff is survived by his sisters, Lori Wilson and Sheri Batesole, both of Fargo and his brother, Russell Ekren of Des Moines, Washington; nephews, Jacob, Joshua, Jett and Jackson Batesole, Fargo; Curt (Jane) Ekren, Floyd (Marrel) Burow, Mila Busow and special friend, Janette Blay of Bismarck. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at First Lutheran Church in Rugby with burial in the Persilla Watts Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby.
