Helen Zimmerman, 91, of Garrison, ND, died peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024, in Bismarck with her family at her side.

Helen is survived by her children; Linda (Dennis) Fetzer, Rapid City, SD; Kathleen (Greg) Stomp, Cooperstown, ND; Ronda Tompers, Cascade, MT; and Kyle (Deb) Zimmerman, Fargo, ND.

Helen would always have a twinkle in her eye, when you would talk about her nine grandchildren, Chad, Peter, and Kristen (Tompers) Bruner; Dr. Candace Fetzer and Denise (Fetzer) Fonner; Amy (Stomp) Haugen and Alison (Stomp) Renschler; Roberta (Zimmerman) Green and Robert Zimmerman; 18 Great-grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Sister-in-laws; JoAnn Zimmerman, Alma Zimmerman, and Sharon (Zimmerman) Eslinger and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Harold (Helen’s Twin) and Ronald Johnson, sister Janice White and son-in-law, David Tompers.

Celebration of her Life Services will be held later in August at the First Congregational Church in Garrison where she was a very active member in her church circle.
