Bonnita “Bonnie” Bennett, 86, Minot, ND, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Trinity Homes in Minot.

Bonnita J. Brandvold was born September 12, 1937, the daughter of Morris and Grace (Stack) Brandvold, in Minot. She graduated from Minot High School in 1955.

She married Rhew H. Bennett on December 21, 1957, in Las Vegas, NV. They made their home in California, Florida, Arizona, and Arkansas. Her husband passed away in 1971 and she returned to Minot in 1973. She then worked for Dr. Santelices before she retired in 1987.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Minot.

Her loving family includes: children, Scott (Lani) Bennett, Fargo, ND, Corinne (Tim) Avery, Rustburg, VA, and Carla (Darrell) Schieve, Minot, ND; six grandchildren, Jason (Carrie) Bennett, Jon (Jon Bredwick) Bennett, Brittani (Quang) Tran, Braydon (Tayler Hanie)Avery, Brandon (Rachel) Schieve, and Sarah (Frankie Burgard) Schieve; 8 great-grandchildren, Easton, Jayda, Presley, and Braxtyn Bennett; Finley, Fisher, Kade, and Koy Schieve; two step-grandchildren, Angie Avery-Kimmell and Jeremy (Dawn) Avery; four step great-grandchildren, Tyson Kimmell, Ethan, Laney, and Kalon Avery; sister, Delores Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step father, and brother.

Memorial Service: Saturday, March 9, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: are preferred to donor’s choice.
