Ardene Cramer

Ardene Daeley Cramer, 101, Glenburn, ND and formerly of Burlington and Boundry Lake, died Friday, March 22, at her daughter’s residence in Glenburn.

Ardene was born in Sherwood, ND, the daughter of William and Mae (Walton) Daeley. She was raised and educated at Sherwood and Minot and graduated from Sherwood High School in 1940. She was united in marriage to Earl Cramer on October 26, 1940, at Mohall, ND.

The couple made their home in Minot, where she continued her time in Beauty School and graduated in 1940. Along with raising their two children, she was employed with Brooks Beauty Salon and Lorraine’s Beauty Salon in Minot.

Earl and Ardene moved to St. Paul, MN in 1963, where she was employed at Yvonne’s as a beautician for 10 years. They retired to Boundry Lake, ND near Bottineau and later moved to Burlington. Earl died on January 3, 2007. She continued to live in Burlington until the flood of 2011. She moved to Glenburn where she continued to live with her daughter.

Ardene was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Burlington Senior Citizens and former member of Vinent United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Dunseith Legion Auxiliary and the Glenburn Senior Citizens.

Her loving family includes, children, L. Dee (Dianna) Cramer, Deltona, FL and Barbara Quimby, Glenburn, ND; grandchildren: Nicholas (Michelle) and Brady (Tiffany) Cramer; Shannon (Daniel) Mayer, Diane (Steve) Pastor and Shawn (Alana) Quimby; 12 great grandchildren to include, Mathew, James, Alex, Josie, Vince, Casey, Harley, Mandy, Josh, Tawnie (Logan), Taryn (Tyler), Alexis, Maddox, Caydon, Abril, Kayden, Addison, Connor, Arya, and Kosh; great-great grandchildren, Ayden, Dallas, Able, Emmett Abril, Kayden, Addison, Connor, Arya & Kosh; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ardene was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, Earl; grandson, Travis Cramer; siblings, Irene Colville, Warren Daeley, Ada Beckedahl, Leona Oberg, and Richard Daeley.

Interment: Wednesday, April 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan

Visitation: Tuesday, April 2nd from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers or plants memorials are preferred to The Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or an organization of the donor’s choice.
