Vivian Keyes, 92, Minot, ND, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, in a Minot hospital.

Vivian Irene Brown was born January 28, 1932, the daughter of Earl and Mabel (Tegmeier) Brown, in Minot. Vivian was raised and educated in Berthold. She graduated from Berthold High School. After graduating Vivian moved to Minot to work.

Vivian married Kenneth Keyes in Minot at St. Leo’s Catholic Church on June 13, 1955. They made their home in Minot where they raised their 6 children.

Kenneth passed away December 19, 2018.

She was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and the women’s guild.

Vivian enjoyed traveling to see family and friends all over the country, line dancing at the Parker Center, and volunteering at the Parker Center, Edgewood Vista, Manor Care, and St. Leo’s Catholic Church.

Her loving family includes:

children, Debbie Keyes, Jan (Rick) Bonebrake, Jean (Tim) Brandt, Beverly (Curt) Huus, Timothy Keyes, Pam (Robb) Breding; grandchildren, 11; great-grandchildren, 11; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth, brothers, Earl Brown, William Brown, Harold Brown, Howard Brown, and baby brother Gerald Brown; sister Marian Eshenko.

Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Family or Vigil Prayer Service: Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
