Larry Leitzke, 79, Rapid City, SD, formerly of Minot, ND, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 in the Rapid City Hospice House.
Larry was born on June 7, 1944, a son of Alvin and Annie Leitzke. He was raised and educated in Glenburn, ND . Larry graduated from Glenburn High School in 1962.
On October 6th, 1967, Larry was united in marriage to Betty Spelhaug. Larry worked for Chevron for 31 years making their homes in Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, and North Dakota.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting various items, but he found his greatest joy in spending time with his family.
He was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church while he lived in Minot and Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Rapid City.

Wife of 56 years, Betty
Children: Wendy Simmons (Brad), Kim Hamilton (Jeff), and Doug Leitzke.
grandchildren: Alexis Salinas (Adrian), Ashlyn Sims (Bryer), Chandis Simmons, Mason Hamilton, Karlee Simmons, and Taylor Hamilton and 4 great grandchildren.
Siblings: Everett Leitzke (Marilyn), Marilyn Sauer, Pearl Sauer, and Carolyn Tandberg.
Visitation: Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 3 until 5 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot
Vigil Prayer Service: Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 5 pm at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot
Mass of Christian Burial: Monday, February 12, 2024 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot
