David Alan Tiller passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024, in Charleston, South Carolina, after several years of health issues. He was 70 years old.
David was born on December 21, 1953, in Minot, North Dakota, where he grew up and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He attained his G.E.D. in 1971 and served in the Navy during the later years of the Vietnam War.
Throughout his life, David held various jobs, particularly in construction and in the service industry. While he lived in many states during his life, he always considered North Dakota his home. David was a sports buff, loved to golf, and was an avid reader of history and military history books. He made friends easily and sustained lifelong friendships with many of the people he met through his travels and adventures.
David is survived by his nephew Matthew (Maggie) Daniels of South Carolina, his nieces Kristin Richau of Colorado and Traci (Joe) Rader of Florida, great nieces Kaylie (Alan) Gudka of Utah and Alyssa (Ibrahim) Abdullah of Florida, a great-great niece Cashley Gudka of Utah, and many cousins in Colorado, Iowa, Nevada, North Dakota, Texas, and Washington. He is preceded in death by his father Leslie Tiller, mother Huldah (Ronning) Tiller, sisters Barbara (Tiller) Richau and Wanda (Tiller) Daniels, and brother Lynden Tiller.
David will be cremated and interred at Rosehill Ryder Cemetery, alongside his parents, his brother, and other family members. Cards may be sent to David’s family at 10823 S Twenty Mile Road #201, Parker, Colorado 80134.
