Cecil Lee Renz, 96, Minot, ND, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024.

Cecil was born on August 27, 1927, to Bruno and Ellen (McCloud) Renz in ND.

Cecil enlisted in the Navy during World War II. He came home from the Navy when his brother, Kenneth Renz was killed in action.

Cecil was a farmer and also worked at Burlington Northern Railroad for 45 years.

Cecil married Ella A. Trottier on November 9, 1947. They made their home in Minot where they raised their three daughters.

His loving family includes:

Wife of 77 years, Ella; daughters, Barbara J. Manzanares, Ellen R. Davis and Gail A. Renz; granddaughter, Kori L. Abrams; great-grandchildren, Preston J. and Brianna K. Abrams; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, February 27, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
