Shawn Randash, 52, Minot, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 21, 2024 in Minot of natural causes.

Shawn was born on August 31, 1971, a son of Linda K. Randash in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot, graduating in 1990 from Minot High School.

On September 18, 2004, Shawn was united in marriage to Cherrie Barnett in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where they raised their two children Alex and Hannah.

Shawn was a very devoted husband and father. He was very active with his children’s activities especially BSA-Troop 5401, Troop 1433, Order of the Arrow, Venture Crew 9752, and the Cub Pack 432.

Shawn worked various positions throughout his lifetime, most recently for the City of Minot, working with Property Maintenance, at the time of his death.

Shawn is survived by: Wife of 19 years, Cherrie; children, Alex and Hannah; Brother, Brian (Tracy) Randash; sister, LynDel Randash (Ed) Smith; in-laws, Richard Barnett Sr., Richard (Jessica) Barnett Jr., Laura Barnett; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Shawn was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents; mother-in-law, Joan Barnett; brother-in-law, Paul Parmenter; nephew, Zachary Barnett; and numerous other relatives.

Visitation: Friday, January 26, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Prayer Service: Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot

Funeral Service: Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
