Pamela “Pam” Everson, 73, Minot, died Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in a Stanley Nursing Care Facility.
Pam was born July 5, 1950, at Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Arthur and Florence (Chelgren) Kabanuk. She was raised and educated in Jamestown, graduating from Jamestown High School and then furthered her education at Minot State University, graduating with a degree in 1975.
Pam had a daughter, Gwendolyn, on May 20, 1974, in Minot. It was just the two of them until she was united in marriage to Curtis W. Everson on August 23, 1988. They made their home in Colorado Springs, CO, where a daughter, Ashley, was born on May 25, 1989. They remained in Colorado until 1999, when they returned to Minot.
Throughout the years, Pam worked in Property Management in North Dakota and Colorado. She retired in 2006, so she could spend time with her beloved grandchildren, Melissa, Janessa and her most recent, Virgil, who was born in 2009. Curtis died October 20, 2021.
Pam is survived by: daughters, Gwendolyn (John) Hulse, Minot, and Ashley (Allan) Simpson, Minot; 3 grandchildren to include, Melissa (Brian) Rabe, Janessa Maynard and Virgil Simpson; brother, Elliott (Denise) Kabanuk, Fargo, ND; six nieces and nephews.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Curtis, and a sister, Lavonne Kabanuk-Abel.
Celebration of Life service: Friday, February 2, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation: will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
