Michael Anthony Brossart, the son of Anton and Rose Mary (Hoffart) Brossart was born on April 10, 1951 in Rugby, North Dakota. He died at the age of 72 years on Monday, January 1, 2024 at Trinity Hospital in Minot, North Dakota. He married Vernice Volk in 1974 and together they raised their four children.

He is survived by his wife, Vernice of Rugby; daughters, Elizabeth (Mike) Gjerde of Moorhead, Rachael (James) Ormond of St. Charles, Illinois and Rebekah (Steven) Majkrazak of Horace; son, Michael (Jacki) Brossart of Fargo; 6 grandchildren; brothers, David (Nina), Dennis and Mark (Leanne). Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6 at Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary, vigil prayer service and sharing of memories beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Rugby. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with no reviewal at the church.
