Linda Ann Fairbrother, the daughter of Elvin and Ruth (Berg) Pietsch was born on March 13, 1952 in Minot, North Dakota. She died at the age of 71 years after a courageous battle of cancer on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 with her family by her side at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby, North Dakota. She graduated from Minot High in 1970 and was united in marriage to Bruce Fairbrother on December 6, 1975 in Minot. They made their home in Towner, where she made a career as the McHenry County Treasurer. She is survived by her husband, Bruce and son, Todd, both of Towner; sisters, Myrna (Ed) Bauer of Nebraska and Terry (Jerry) Stroklund of South Prairie. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 26 at Zion Lutheran Church in Towner with burial in the spring in Union Cemetery, Towner.
