Elinor (Kronbach) West of Woodburn, Oregon, formerly of Ryder, North Dakota, died January 11, 2024.
Elinor was born, Elinor Ida Kronbach, in Ryder, ND on Sept. 25, 1925. She was a registered nurse having graduated from Trinity Hospital School of Nursing, Minot, ND, in 1947. She married Robert (Bob) F. West in 1950. She worked in nursing positions in ND, MN and OR, retiring in 1983. She enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, bicycling and gardening.
Elinor was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents William and Martha (Pflugradt) Kronbach, and 4 brothers, Willard Kronbach, Konrad Kronbach, George Kronbach and Robert Kronbach.
Elinor is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Warren Kletzien of Lake Wales, FL., stepdaughter, Mary Powers of Blythe, CA and stepson Craig West of Redding, CA. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Elinor’s ashes will be placed alongside her beloved husband’s ashes at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
