Clara Koapke

Clara Agnes Koapke, age 99 of Bottineau, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at a Bottineau hospital. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bottineau. Visitation will be at the church starting an hour before the service.

Clara Koapke, a daughter of John and Mary (Richard) Langan, was born on April 5, 1924 in St. John, ND. She was raised there and graduated from St. John High School. She was married the Elver Duffy and they had one son, Elson. Elver passed away and she later married Bill Koapke and lived in Devils Lake. They had 2 sons, Bill Jr and Alan. They moved to Bottineau in 1964. Bill passed away on March 26, 2020.

Clara volunteered with the St. Andrew’s Hospital Auxiliary for many years. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Clara was and Avon Representative for 40 years.

Clara is survived by her one son, Alan (Philomena) Koapke of Surrey; 5 grandchildren and 3 extended grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Bill Koapke Jr and Elson Duffey.
