Betty Mae Johnson, 99, Mandan, formerly of Parshall, died Monday, January 22, 2024, at a Mandan care facility. Betty Mae Edwardson was born June 19, 1924, to Edward and Hilda (Strom) Edwardson, in Parshall. She was united in marriage to Carl Johnson, and they made their home in Parshall. She lived life to its fullest with a positive outlook. She was always cheerful and touched the lives of everyone around her.

Betty Mae is survived by her cherished family including her sons, Douglas Johnson of Parshall, and Kent Johnson (Connie) of Devils Lake; daughters, Karen Johner (Bill) of Mandan, Loreen Fischer (Larry) of Rhame, Pam Pehl of Stanton and Mary Jo Van Horn of Gilbert, AZ; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Johnson (1998); 2 daughters; her siblings; a great-grandson; and extended family.

Funeral: Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 11 a.m., at First Lutheran Church, Parshall

Visitation: Saturday 9-11 a.m. at the church

Interment: Parshall Cemetery, Parshall

In place of flowers, memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church of Parshall, Parshall Cemetery, or to the donor’s choice.
