1960 enlisted in the Navy. 1964 discharged honorably from the Navy. From 1964-1971 worked high line construction. 1967 married Sandra Faye Drader. 1971 started farming and supplemented income by working for different trucking companies. 2011 moved to Lake Audubon. Hobbies: stamp and coin collecting. He loved hunting, fishing, and dancing.

He is survived by wife Sandra, children: LaToria-Totten Trail, Leon (Michelle)-Pagosa Springs CO, Johann (Cathy)-Surrey, Sebastian-Granville, Adalia (Joel McCrea)-Bismarck, Jeremiah (Hope)-Granville, siblings: Ken (Dale) Trana- Bismarck, Joyce (Gerry) Delbert- Minot, Tom Trana-Linton, and multiple nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth and Milton Trana and niece Grace Hindes
