Donna Hase, 69 of Anamoose, ND, died Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, at the United Methodist Church in Drake. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery, Anamoose, ND.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday December 4 at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Donna was born January 2, 1954, in Ballinger, TX to Betty Jean (Williford) and Siegle Maxey. She graduated from high school in Hobart, OK in 1973 and attended Western Oklahoma State College in Altus. Donna first met Curtis in 1970 in Oklahoma while he was custom combining. Christmas of 1975, he talked her into visiting him in North Dakota, and she decided to stay. Donna married Curtis Hase Feb 21, 1976, in Drake. They made their home south of Anamoose. Donna was an active part of their farming and harvest operation. She learned to run combine, semi, and tractors. They stopped custom harvesting in 2005 and were still currently farming.

Donna’s hobbies included family genealogy, local history, canning pickles, snowmobiling, and lawn mowing. She was an active member of Drake United Methodist since 1976 and served as chairperson of their board for the last 25 years. She was a First Responder and EMT-B for 15 years and served multiple local ambulance services. She also served on the Sheridan County Soil Conservation Board for years.

Survivors include her husband, Curtis; daughter Sandra (Ryan) Felchle of Denhoff; sons, John (Aleshia) Hase of Anamoose, Fred (Christy) Hase of Martin; 10 grandchildren, Cole (Shelby) Felchle, Gregory Felchle, Dawson Felchle, Alexis Hase, Jazzlynn Hase, Kaidence Hase, Shaylee Hase, Tate Hase, Drew Hase, and Trip Hase; sisters Mary Spence of Tishomingo, OK, Shirley (Terry) Pugh of Ponca City, OK, Delora (Calvin) Lewis of Ponca City, OK, Paula (Gary) Ayres of Madill, OK; brother, Robert (Carolyn) Maxey of Lahoma, OK; half brother Curtis (Jennifer) Maxey of Stanton, TX; step brother Tim (Elaine) Reeves of Las Cruces, NM; stepbrother, William Cupit of Las Cruces, NM; numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws Eldean and Darlene Hase; brother Roy Maxey; brother-in-law Steve Spence, brother-in-law Steven Wilhelmi, niece Belinda Spence, and nephews Donnie Pugh and Gary Don Ayres; half-sister, Twana Maxey, step-brother, James Reevers.
