MaryAnn (Merck) Burckhard, age 95 of Minot and formerly of Towner, ND died Wed. Nov. 8, 2023, at her home in Somerset Court, Minot. She was born February 20, 1928, to Jacob and Regina (Boehm) Merck at the Karlsruhe, ND family farm home. She was united in marriage to Joe Burckhard on Oct. 23, 1947, at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Karlsruhe. Survivors include her children, Dennis (Sheila), Advance, NC; Gary (Cheryl); David (Bev); Kenny (Wendy), all of Minot; Kelvin (Tam), Lincoln; Loretta (Pat) Schaff & Lorinda (Darrell) Haman, all of Towner; Galen, Lopez Island, WA; Rod (Jackie), Towner; Tim (Nita), Burlington; Ron (Janice) and Randy, all of Minot; 32 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Jean Feist, Agnes Traiser & Ida Lauinger, all of Minot; Angela (Emanuel) Klein, New Rockford. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter & son-in-law, MaryJane & Vern Kreger; brothers, Tony, Mike, John, Fred, Fran & Christ; sisters, Helen Klein, Eva Pinchero, Datherine Schmalz & Valeria Nystrom. Mass of Christian Burial, 1030 a.m. Tues., Nov. 14th at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation Mon. from 5 to 7 p.m. with rosary, vigil prayers & sharing of memories commencing at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Tues. for one hour prior to Mass, all being held in the church.
