Helen Nichol

Rosemount, Minn.

Helen Nichol, 83, of Rosemount, MN was admitted as a citizen of heaven on 11/18/2023. She had been living at Lakehouse Healthcare and Rehab Center (Minneapolis, MN) for the past 2 years. Helen was born on 01/01/1940 in Williston, ND to Martin and Ida (Clauson) Kluken. Helen was raised in Williston, ND and attended Williston High School.

Helen married William (Bill) Nichol in 1962, and together they had 2 sons, Tim Nichol (Jordan, MN) and Shawn Nichol (Rosemount, MN).

Helen worked jobs as a Typist, Cashier and a Sales clerk early on before transitioning to be a stay at home mother. She very much wanted to be home to raise her sons.

Helen was involved in many churches over the years. She taught Sunday School and loved Bible studies. Helen moved from Minot, ND to Rosemount, MN in 2012 to be closer to her sons. She was diagnosed with Dementia in 2018 and spent the last years of her life in different memory care facilities. Helen will always be remembered for her joy of life and her infectious laughter.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Ida (Clauson) Kluken, 2 sisters, Bernice (Sis) McFarlin (Minot, ND), Delores (Babe) Barke (Williston, ND) and her brother Martin (Sonny) Kluken (Williston, ND).

Helen is survived by her sister, Judy Kluken (Duluth, MN), her sons, Tim (Geraldine) Nichol (Jordan, MN) and Shawn (Sandy) Nichol (Rosemount, MN) and her grandsons, Maxwell Nichol and Weston Nichol (Rosemount, MN).

The family will be holding a private memorial service.
