Gladys Dixon

Gladys was born April 24, 1925 to Edwin K and Frieda (Nelson) Livingston. She was one of nine children, preceded her in death were her brothers Ernest, Norman, Raymond and Alvin Livingston: sisters Sybel Gjerde, Ruth Blowers, Lorraine Livingston and Thelma Huizenga and her husband James and son John.

Gladys graduated from Minot High School in 1942. On May 22, 1949 she married James E. Dixon and lived in Minot, Burlington and Deslacs, ND. After James’ death in 1973 she moved to Minot in 1978.

Gladys worked in many clerical positions and retired from Civil Service at Minot AFB in 1989. Since retirement, volunteered at Trinity Hospital, Convention and Visitors Bureau and Hostfest. She also worked part-time at Herbergers.

She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Scandinavian Heritage Association and Zion Lutheran Church with participation in the choir and Hannah Circle.

She is survived by her son Corey (JoLinda) Dixon, Granddaughter Amanda Perez, grandson James Dixon and great grandchildren, Hayden, Halle, Charlie, Presley, Annie and Asher.
