BettyAnn Mae Luchsinger, 67, of Sherwood, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 8, 2023.
BettyAnn was born on July 11, 1956, to Donald and Gloria (Jones) Mayer in Kenmare, the third oldest of eight children. She grew up on a farm near Sherwood. She attended Sherwood High School and graduated in 1976.
BettyAnn was once married to, Ward Luchsinger, whom she married on Feb. 21, 1981, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sherwood. From this union came one daughter, LeAnn.
BettyAnn had a kindhearted personality and always had a smile on her face. She was known for her infectious laugh, and her ability to make you feel comfortable. She was a proud grandma who loved and cherished her granddaughter, Isabelle. She loved keeping in touch with family and friends, whether it be a phone call or following them on social media. She looked forward to receiving Christmas cards from her family and friends at Christmastime.
BettyAnn enjoyed watching wrestling, listening to music and driving her pink golf cart around town. She enjoyed giving back to her community by volunteering at the food pantry. She was very creative and enjoyed working with her hands. One of her favorite things to do was to create one-of-a-kind arts and craft items. She enjoyed making doll clothes, Christmas ornaments, decorating her own bags, and was skilled at making wonderful items out of what others would consider to be scraps.
Family: BettyAnn is survived by her companion, Charles Robinson, Sherwood; daughter, LeAnn (Lee) Lazier, Towner; granddaughter, Isabelle Lazier; siblings, Kenneth (Robyn) Mayer, Sherwood, Bennie (Jean) Mayer, Minot, Eddie (Bonny) Mayer, Minot, Peggy Traxel, Lincoln, Tom (Leah) Mayer, Minot, Warren (Annie) Mayer, Minot; nieces and nephews, Melini (Dusty) Grosulak, Dickinson, Ashley (Darren) Gottschall, Kenmare, Eddie “Mitchell” (Lacey) Mayer, Colorado, Andrew Traxel, Elisha (Greg) Peltz, and Dustin (Kelsey) Traxel, all of Bismarck, Felicity Mayer, Fargo, Hayden Mayer, Hayley Mayer and Carson Mayer, all of Minot; uncles, LeRoy Jones and Marvin Jones, both Mohall; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
BettyAnn was preceded in death by: Parents, Donald and Gloria Mayer; brother, Lynn Mayer; maternal grandparents Paul and Goldie Jones; paternal grandparents, John and Katherine Mayer; brother-in-law, Kenneth Traxel.
Funeral: 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sherwood.
Burial: Sherwood Union Cemetery, Sherwood.
