Joyce Gefroh

Joyce Gefroh, Surrey, formerly of Esmond, ND, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at a Minot hospital.

Joyce was born on March 23, 1939, in Maddock, ND to Irvin and Ruby (Stenrude) McKibbin. She was raised and educated in Maddock, graduating from Maddock High School in 1957.

On November 25, 1957, Joyce was united in marriage to Rochus Gefroh. The couple moved to Esmond and would have 6 children. Joyce worked at Noodles by Leonardo’s in Cando, ND and did some painting. After moving to Surrey, Joyce worked in home healthcare until her retirement.

Joyce enjoyed bingo, quilting, playing cards, gardening, and bowling. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Surrey, where she was a member of the quilting crew.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Surrey. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Esmond. Those wishing to sign the online register and share memories may access the online obituaries section at (www.thompsonlarson.com).
