Erik Jacobson, 51, Celina, TX, formerly of Minot, ND, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, in his home.

Erik Jon Jacobson was born June 28, 1972, the son of IJ and Beverly (Ralph) Jacobson, in Crosby, ND. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Concordia Lutheran Church. He attended school in Divide County, where he played hockey and golf, graduating in 1990. After high school, he attended Minot State University.

He enlisted in the United States Army in 1992. He proudly served his country while stationed in Korea. He was honorably discharged 1995. After returning to the U.S., Erik enrolled in North Dakota State University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Humanities and Social Sciences in 1997.

He married Tasha Strom on June 20, 1998. They were blessed with two daughters, Mya and Mattie. They resided in Texas for 13 years. Erik held many different roles throughout the years. He worked as a CPA at Pulte Homes and Darling Homes in Texas. Upon returning home to Minot, N.D. he worked as a CEO of United Quality Cooperative. Most recently, he was a co-owner of Schramme Custom Homes, located in Texas.

Erik worked hard for his family while enjoying activities such as golf, curling, gardening, and relaxing at the lake. He was an active member of Bread of Life Lutheran Church in Minot.

Erik was a lifelong jokester, avid blue whale candy connoisseur, and an incredible girl dad. He loved playing pranks, board games, $2 bills, singing too loud in church, and supporting the NDSU Bison.

His loving family includes: wife of 24 years, Tasha; daughters, Mya and Mattie; mother, Beverly Jacobson; grandmother, Ruth Koppang; sisters, Krista (Matt) Freed, Trina Johnson, Lara (Terry) Smoley, Jessa (Tom) Rafferty; mother and father-in-law, Kerry and Barb Strom; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leif (Sarah) Strom, Mitch (Joy) Strom; seven nieces; six nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and special friends, Al Svangstu and Chad Schramme.

He was preceded in death by his dad, IJ Jacobson; grandparents, Irven and Carol Jacobson, and Marvin Koppang.

Memorial Service: Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Bread of Life Lutheran Church, Minot.

Interment: Monday, October 9, 2023, at 12 p.m. at North Dakota Veteran Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
